This is the last Thursday of the month, and that means that we are going to be a bit self-indulgent. Just a bit, mind you. This is a really small recipe. Which means, of course, that you are perfectly justified in not sharing. Muah-ha-ha!
No, really, think about it. Mugs have one handle, which means that only one person can hold one at a time! And you certainly don’t want anyone else sticking their spoon in your mug. Wait, that sounded – never mind.
You could also, of course, make up a second one for a friend.
But, we’re being self-indulgent today, so don’t put your snackage on hold. Tell them to get their own damn brownie! And their own damn spoon, while they’re at it!
4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa powder (not cocoa mix!)
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons water
Dash of salt
Dash of cinnamon (optional, but tasty)
Add the sugar, flour, cocoa and salt to the mug and mix. Then add the oil and water, and mix the dry and wet ingredients together – making sure there are no dry clumps left.
Microwave on high for approximately a minute. It may take more or less time, depending on your microwave. The brownie should still be wet in the center when done.
Eat plain, or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream! Although, come to think of it, mint chocolate chip ice cream would be pretty amazing too. It’s a brownie in a mug, people. Be as whimsical as you like with it!
