Build Your Work Wardrobe

A fundamental piece for your summer wardrobe is the light, sheer blouse. It is a closet staple that works formally as well as casually. This is something that will never go out of style, and there are many different designs which allows you to create an array of different looks.

Our model, 17-year-old Stefania, pulled this white blouse from her closet and tucked it into her favourite pair of black shorts. However, she needed some help to turn the outfit into a professional look. Originally, she bought the blouse because it was an “I have to buy it moment.” We think she has great instincts and this is a perfect start!

To make the outfit more office appropriate, we suggest matching it with a skinny belt and some black leggings, or swapping the shorts for a pencil skirt. A blazer would also be a great touch for a professional environment. And don’t forget the suede pumps or sleek flats!

Try a gold-buckle belt and electric blue blazer to finish off the look, along with some chunky gold jewelry. A large, metal watch or multi-chain necklace work wonderfully to create some character.

Currently going into grade 12, Stefania hopes to receive a scholarship for college. She runs at least five times a week in the hopes to turn her track and field hobby into a career. However, if running track doesn’t work out, she plans to teach English as a second language.

We know Stefania has a great future ahead of her, and we hope this helps her look her best during her post-Olympic-medal interview!
