Lelo claims that its GiGi is the world’s bestselling G-spot vibrator. Fans of the product will be thrilled to know that there is now a new version which is covered in silicone that is softer than before, fully-waterproof and more powerful. I’ve never used the first version of the GiGi so I can’t compare, but I know that I have little to complain about with this sleek, newer version.
The power of this pleasure object includes 8 different vibration patters, including some serious speeds. I found the shape of the GiGi 2 to be ideal for its purpose. Whether using it externally on the clitoral area, or inside to massage the G-Spot, the flattened tip ensures that the right pressure is put on the right place.
I found that the device was easy to keep a grip on, reasonably quiet,= and easy to clean. This is an ideal model to be waterproof, as it lends itself to shower use. Now, I have to admit that I have mostly been into external clitoris stimulators up until now. The GiGi 2 is my first foray into toys that can be used for insertion. At first, I found the tip to be rather big and I have only been able to get inside just a little ways. On the upside, the vibrations are so intense that usually in the midst of my fumbling and pushing I end up very happy. And by “happy,” I mean in the moaning, groaning sort of way.
I have also used the GiGi 2 externally. The size and shape of the device (especially that unique tip) make for some interesting possibilities and ways to apply pressure. Like I have experienced in other situations, sometimes the vibrations can get absorbed into the hand (which holds the device) and whatever body part you happen to be pressing against, so there is a bit of a learning curve to figure out what feels right and how much pressure to apply (or not apply). Again, this can be encountered with many different devices and it not a flaw at all. The best thing is that it is so easy to hold. While smaller vibrators may slip out of your hand, this one is almost like using a wand, but better. You can apply pressure in a number of different ways, turn it around, and generally be creative.
The GiGi 2 comes in 4 attractive colours, is packed in a lovely box and has a silky storage pouch. It comes with a magnetic charger (which seems to be the style for most pleasure objects, I am noticing) and takes around an hour-ish to charge. Its design is beautiful and discreet in a way that does not scream, “DILDO!”
Hopefully by the time you read this review, the GiGi 2 will be readily available. If it isn’t, wait for it. The fact that it is waterproof alone makes it worth waiting for. If you have never tried a G-spot vibrator before, this is a great first model, and a wonderful device generally all around.
The Lelo GiGi 2 is available for $139.00 at the Traveling Tickle Trunk.
