Fukuoku Fingertip Vibrator Review

fukuokuWhen it comes to fingertip massagers, it doesn’t get any better than the Fukuoku. At just 2 ¼ inches long, the device fits securely around a finger with a ring, allowing for a variety of ways it can be introduced into intimacy between a couple or on your own.

It has one speed, which is quite fast (9000 vibrations per minute, to be exact – hence the name), the comfortable positioning on the finger allows the user to increase or decrease pressure without fear of losing grip on the vibe. It comes with three silicone caps with different textures, although personally I could not really tell the difference between them. Most of what I could feel was the vibrations, and little else as far as texture was concerned.

The shape and size is perfect for the clitoris. In fact, I first became aware of the Fukuoku when it was featured prominently in an instructional DVD about giving good hand jobs. It is not loud, but not really super quiet either. As it only has one speed, it really comes down to a matter of personal preference: if you like the speed, you’ll like the feel.

I tried masturbating with the device a few times, and while it took me a bit longer to finish than the slightly larger, multi speed clitoral stimulators I prefer, it certainly worked. I can see the Fukuoku as being of use especially in situations where a little extra clitoral stimulation is needed. For women who don’t usually climax during intercourse, this just might do the trick, as it is small enough to be used without interfering with whatever else is going on. Foreplay is also an excellent time to use this kind of thing. You can tease before you please, so to speak. It can be used all over the body, not just the clit, and can sort of tickle depending on where you use it (and how ticklish you happen to be).

On the down side (and there always seems to be one, no matter how good a device is), depending on how hard you press, the vibrations can also get lost in your finger. I found that I would feel more of the vibrations when I touched myself lightly, as opposed to pressing in on my clit. Still, 9000 vibrations a minute is a lot and I can definitely imagine this possibly being too intense for some, regardless. It is affordable enough to give it a try.

Made from phthalate free plastic, the device is not waterproof and is recommended to be cleaned with alcohol wipes. I have done that, as well as cleaned it carefully with soap and water without putting it directly into the stream from the tap. It comes with a leatherette carrying pouch (with a belt loop), and fits easily into a pocket or purse. The batteries are the small watch kind (LR44s, to be precise), and it comes with two.

The Fukuoku Fingertrap Vibrator is available at the Traveling Tickle Trunk for $46.00.
