Transitioning from summer to fall can be tricky because the weather can fluctuate from really hot to freezing cold depending on the day; it makes it tough to plan and put together your outfits. I’ve got some easy fashion advice for those of you who need some help transitioning your favorite pieces from summer to fall.
The shirtdress was a staple in my wardrobe this summer and it’s one of those versatile pieces that you can dress up or down for any occasion. I wore this dress to a summer backyard BBQ by pairing it with my Converse All Stars and I tied a flannel sweater around my waist for a chilly evening by the fire pit. To take it into the fall I threw on my leather jacket and some ankle boots. You can wear this out to drinks with friends, or even to the office.
I was obsessed with this white skater skirt from H&M all summer. I wore it to the lake with a crop top and some studded sandals. I transitioned it for the fall by swapping the crop top with a gray sweater and wore white flats instead of sandals. For those cold days, you can even throw on a pair of black tights and some ankle boots.
I got a lot of use out of this LBD this summer. I paired it with a blazer and heels and wore it to work, I threw on a jean jacket and some sandals and wore it on a coffee date, and I even paired it with my Converse All Stars and a baseball cap and wore it to a baseball game. Now I’m transitioning it into the fall by wearing it with some thigh-high socks, ankle boots and a fuzzy crème sweater.
