When it comes to personal vibrators, wands can be wonderful. The Mini Swan Wand, which comes in the wake of the success of the full-sized Swan Wand, also demonstrates that power can come in small sizes.

The outside of the Mini Swan Wand is 100% silicone with a very smooth finish that is easy to clean. It is also completely waterproof, making shower and bath fun a definite possibility.

Charging via a USB cord, the Mini Swan Wand holds its charge for about a two hour run time, and it takes about the same length of time to charge. I found it held its charge very well, with several uses on one charge. (Note: I have never used a vibrator for two hours on a row, nor would I recommend doing that. The experience would likely be numbing on a number of levels.)

The Mini Swan Wand’s size makes it perfectly portable. At the length of an average finger, it fits easily into a purse or whatever device you use to carry your belongings. It has a travel lock, which will prevent weird vibrating noises from suddenly emanating from your luggage.

Another fun aspect of the Mini Swan Wand is its shape. The thicker end is great for external use. I find that it is an ideal shape and size for my anatomy. The smaller curve makes it easy to hold, but with 7 speeds reaching both ends, powered by the incredible PowerBullet, it could also be used internally for G spot stimulation.

Since the device is small, so is the power button that controls it. I found it a little tricky to move through the speeds and settings at times, especially when using one hand. You hold the power button down while the device advances in speed. When you reach the desired feel, let go of the button. However, once you pass by a setting, there is no going back except to keep going until you find it again, or turn it off and on again.

Speaking of which, to turn the Mini Swan Wand off, you have to push down on the button. I found some logistical problems with this, especially accidentally turning off the device at the wrong time, because if you let go then push the button again in the hopes of continuing to go through the speeds, the device turns off. Practice helps.

Otherwise, I like the look, the feel, the size, and the price. It’s great as a first-time vibrator, a spare for traveling, or even as a main device. The on/off thing takes a bit getting used to, but the pros definitely outweigh the cons.

The Swan Mini Wand is available at the Traveling Tickle Trunk for $79.
