It’s that time of year again! Fall has finally graced us with its presence and that means it’s time to step out in our fall footwear. This time of the year is one of my favorites, not only because of the cooler weather and changing of the leaves, but because of the boots! I love how diverse boots are, and the variety of heights and styles they come in. The various heights are ankle, mid calf and knee length. You can choose a riding boot, biker boot, wedge or a heel. While we would all love to indulge in this seasons high end shoe designers, not all us have the extra cash to do so. To satisfy your fashion needs and your wallet, I have composed a few fall boots “Splurge vs. Steal” looks that I know you will adore.

The Ankle Boot
Ankle boots are a staple in our Fall wardrobe. They transition any outfit and are perfect paired with jeans and a blazer. For those of you who are looking for an edgier look, try pairing these with a form-fitting dress. If you know that you will use this as a staple piece in your wardrobe, and you’re ready to take the plunge and shell some serious moolah, here are a pair of Alexander Mcqueens for $1120. If you are in need of a steal, Macy’s has similar ones by Chinese Laundry for $89.

The Knee High Wedge Boot
The knee high boot is a classic boot that has been around for many seasons. Just recently though, designers have gone from a stiletto to a more realistic wedge. This change has given us high-heel conscious girls more confidence to walk around for hours without the fear of falling over. It also gives our feet some much needed comfort for all hazardous weather conditions. It can be paired with a skirt for a comfortable fall look, or with jeans to add some style. When it comes to a splurge, here is pair from the famous Christian Louboutin for a whopping price of $1895. If you want a similar style without having to break the bank, here is a pair from DSW for just $79.95.

The Riding Boot
Riding boots are no longer just for people who ride or own horses – they have made their way on the catwalk and I have a feeling they are sticking around. These boots are perfect paired with leggings, a chambray shirt and a colorful scarf. For a more conservative look, you can switch out the leggings for a pair of dark-colored denim. If you want to splurge on this style, check out these Salvadore Ferragamos for $795. To steal this look for less, check out DSW for these Bandolinos priced at $99.

The Motorcycle Boot
The motorcycle boot is all the rage this season. They are the perfect ending to a skinny jean whether the jeans are colored, tuxedo, coated or just a basic jean. They compliment feminine florals and softer knits perfectly, as well as complete a bad gurl look when paired with a leather jacket. These boots are the perfect amount of drama and edge without going overboard. If you have the extra money to spend, look into these Ash boots from Asos for $543. If a steal is what you are looking for, Kohls is selling these Rock and Republic boots for $58.
