Folk and RnB music have met in the middle to form the group Haim, comprised of 3 perfectly pitch matching sisters, Este Haim, Danielle Haim and Alana Haim. The group has been hiding their colorful harmonies from the ears of music lovers since 2006 when the band originally formed, but thankfully due to a record deal their music is starting to catch hold.
The sisters’ main reason for withholding their united talents was their own individual budding musical careers, but in 2012 the Forever EP was born and released into the world thrusting Haim into the spotlight. The RnB roots within the Haim sisters music would make past groups such as En Vogue proud, and the catchy pop driving lyrics and harmonies can make any folk/pop music lover happy.
Better Off gives every individual needing a national break up anthem a strong push in the right direction with lyrics such as, “forgiveness is that all you want from me? I wont fall into the arms of the one who turned on me.”
Haim signed with UK record label, Polydor Records, in June of 2012 and was voted by the British Broadcasting Cooperation in 2013 as the most promising musical act of the upcoming year. Touring with the likes of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Florence and the Machine, Haim is headed in the right direction.
Recently the group released the song Don’t Save Me, which has been remixed by several producers such as Duke Dumont and Cyril Hahn.
