I’m always on the lookout for new and different skin care and makeup products and brands, especially all-natural ones. About 2 months ago, I came upon Korres products at Shoppers Drug Mart and I was excited to try their Cleansing & Makeup Removing Wipes and Yoghurt Body Butter. The cosmetician also gave me samples for other Korres products  –   I was in skin care heaven! Korres products are also available on, where you can read about the philosophy of Korres skin care and cosmetics:

“In 1989, George Korres bought the oldest homeopathic pharmacy in Greece in order to produce what no one in Greece had done before; a line of homeopathic remedies. Soon after, George met Lena, a chemical engineer and together with George’s knowledge of plants and remedies and Lena’s knowledge of scientific research and skin biochemistry they filled their lab with natural products and set to work. A team of experts, led by the head plant hunter Orestes Davias, searched for ingredients that are the basis of all of Korres products. Orestes team travels all over the world but mostly in Greece for Greek flora; there are over 6,500 species of plants in Greece. In 1996, the now married George and Lena began selling their products from behind their pharmacy. They continue to partner with leading universities and scientific boards for cutting edge research on natural products.” (

Korres Pomegranate Cleansing & Makeup Removing Wipes ($16) smell wonderfully fresh and fruity and are formulated to gently remove makeup from your face and eyes. They are for oily and combination skin. I love that you can use a facial wipe once and throw it away. There is absolutley no worry of bacteria growth on a reusable facecloth and the need to use 14 separate facecloths per week either. Pomegranate extract is rich in antioxidants and helps to minimize the appearance of pores. It also tones and revitalizes your skin. Along with pomegranate extract, the wipes contain glycerin, and vitamin E (Korres Pomegranate Wipes Package). I like these wipes because they completely remove all my makeup at the end of the day and leave my skin feeling soft and smelling delicious. If you’re not fond of pomegranate, Korres also carries Cleansing & Makeup Removing Wipes with milk proteins. Each package of wipes lasts about a month and are totally worth the price!

My other must-have Korres product is their Yoghurt Body Butter ($33), an “extra-moisturizing cream for dry skin.” The Yoghurt body butter smells distinctly yoghurty. My favorite thing about it is the silky-smooth feeling of the butter on my legs after a shower. Unlike other body butters, it soaks into my skin immediately and leaves my skin feeling perfectly moisturized all day long. Yoghurt cream is “rich in proteins, minerals, and vitamins” and it “hydrates and relieves dry skin.” It contains such ingredients as shea butter combined with sunflower, almond and avocado oils. It also improves elasticity and skin smoothness. Yoghurt cream is a 94.4% natural product including 10% full fat yoghurt  –  even better on your skin than in your tummy! The only thing I would change about the product is the price. As I go through lotion quickly, $33 was a steep price to pay for body butter but it was so good that it almost felt worth it! Yoghurt Body Butter is a nice treat but I would stick with something cheaper for regular use.

I invite you try the above mentioned products and all Korres products, including their makeup. I am highly impressed with their effect on my sensitive and temperamental ghost-white skin and I’m certain that Korres products would be wonderful on all skin types, thanks to the carefully all-natural composition of Korres products.
