Nina Mufleh always wanted to work for Airbnb, but after months submitting job applications, answering listings and sending emails to the company she was unable to land a job there — until she decided to try something new.
“I actually thought, I haven’t done everything I can … I’ve done the same thing multiple times, but I haven’t tried new approaches,” she told Business Insider.
That’s when Nina got to work on a website that looked a lot like Airbnb’s homepage to serve as a presentation of her ideas. Through the website’s slides she showed what she knew of the travel industry, what she could bring to Airbnb and what she proposed Airbnb could do to further develop their business.
After her innovative resume caught the attention of Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky and CMO Jonathan Mildenhall, Nina was set to have an interview with a marketing recruiter last week. We’re rooting for her!
